Relaxation tips just for you
Nobody knows more than you how stressful your days are and it is important that you know how to make sure that you have the peace of mind and strength to cope with the stress.
Aromatherapy Candles
Choose the right spot in your home, where it’s safe to light up – Candles, Aromatherapy Candles. The soft glow of the candles and the relaxing scent that they give off is sure to ease your tension and reduce stress.
Soak the stress away
Nothing beats a good warm bath. The warm water relaxes and soothes your muscles.
Tame the beast with soothing music
Listen to some soothing grooves on your radio or IPod. Whether you prefer to listen to soft, classical, smooth jazz, sounds of nature or New Age music, it’s entirely up to you.
Get lost into a good inspirational book or novel
Reading a good book on a comfy sofa is an ideal way to relax.
Breathe !
Cleanse your lungs with long deep
breaths. Take 6 long breaths through your nose and exhale slowly through
your mouth. Blow out those harmful toxins. When going through stressful times,
sometimes you don’t realize just how tense you are - even to the point of holding
your breath. So just let it out.
Walk it Off
Get outside and walk around. Nature has a way of relaxing you. Sometimes you
need to burn off the energy built up from stress.
Laugh It Off
Watch a funny comedy or read a funny book. Laughter is also good for
strengthening those tummy muscles. Don’t take yourself too seriously.
Give Thanks
Take a few minutes of the day to be grateful. The pebble you may have is a
boulder to another, so no matter how small you may think it is give thanks in
all things and for all things.
Write It All Down
Keep a journal. Use it to log not just your complaints but also your gratitude
and thoughts. Let your emotions and stress flow out through your pen and unto the pages of your
journal.
Remain Positive
Maintain positive thoughts. This is an active process because the negative
thoughts are ever present waiting to steal your joy and your
energy.
Repeat positive stress relief affirmations; be they promises of God from the
Bible or affirmations from other inspirational books.
Surround yourself
with positive people and keep your attitude in check – despite what you may
think, your mood doesn’t control you, you control it.
I have listed 10 relaxation tips but I am sure you can possibly name a few more but don’t just list them. Go and do them. Pick from anyone of the relaxation tips that suit you and make them a part of your daily life.
In pursuit of soothing stress relief at home (or anywhere for that matter)
